Speed Pro Meet and Greet

Recently we sat at Dangerously Delicious Pies on H St NW DC eating a freshly baked pie with some freshly made friends from the DC Triumph group.  Outside Sadiki’s Harley was parked alongside a Triumph Scrambler and 2 Triumph Bonnevilles.  Tony’s KZ was throwing one of her known fits.  Hence the name Lucille “The temperamental bitch”.  So instead of missing out on this meet up he drove a rental car.  We rode from DC to Rocket To Venus in Baltimore MD to take part in the Speed Pro Meet and Greet set up by Sasha Valentine of CaferRacer.XXX (Work Safe We Promise).  Sasha seems to have super powers which allows her to unite people from all walks of life who share a common interest and that would be Two Wheels.

She got custom builders, racers, magazine writers, bloggers, and even a few toddlers all under one roof.  With builders like Jeff Yarrington of Saint Motor Company, Mike Sponseller and Kevin Dunworth of Loaded Gun Customs, and The Lowside Magazine guys (and gals) there it was as if she made our Favorites Tab come to life.  The bikes came in all shapes, sizes, and colors.  The years varied just as much as the cylinders. But the best part of it all was not to feel as if you or your bike was out of place.  V twins parked next to Inline Fours, Kickers next to Electric starters, Ducs and Japanese motors sandwiched between Brit bikes and HOGs.  It felt like the United Nations of Motorbikes.  To top it all off with all the rumbling thunder heard from our exhaust the skies were clear and the weather was perfect.
